Mark Heinrich

Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science

Mark Heinrich is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at UCF and serves as associate chair and undergraduate coordinator for computer science and information technology. His research focuses on parallel computer architecture, heterogeneous and GPGPU systems, energy-efficient computing, scalable cache coherence protocols, and cloud-based mobile and web services. He previously held positions as assistant professor at Cornell University and founder and chief technology officer of two technology startups. He has received the NSF CAREER Award, an IBM Faculty Award, and teaching awards from Cornell. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
