My name is Ryu. I am a Second-Year Doctoral Student who studies Texts & Technology at the University of Central Florida. My research lies in Games Studies and is concerned with the evolution of gaming technologies, specifically in arcade and esports games. Since Spring 2023, I am instructing a course titled DIG 3043-The Evolution of Video Games.
In 2021, I earned a Master of Arts in Interdiscplinary Studies. In this degree’s curriculum, I had two concentrations in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and Texts & Technology. From my studies in my Master’s coursework, I expanded my studies into my work for both the Center for Humanities and Digital Research and the Texts & Technology PhD Program.
